Hello Sycamore Families,
My name is Julie Miranda and I am excited to be your child's teacher. This is my Twelfth year with Sycamore Academy. I am one of few inaugural staff members who has been through it all here at Sycamore. I believe wholeheartedly in the mission and vision written by some of my favorite educators! I love the talented colleagues I get to work with, the sweet families I've built friendships with, and the incredibly creative students who have left an imprint on my heart over the years. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with children and watch them grow. I believe strongly in developing a safe, collaborative, and welcoming environment for students to imagine, meet challenges, think critically, and develop as lifelong learners.
I'm originally from Los Angeles and a huge Dodger fan! I love Mexican food, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my loving family. I moved to San Diego to attend San Diego State University right out of high school where I met my husband, Nick. We have two beautiful daughters, Anabella and Eliana who fill my heart with pride and joy.
I am eager to start a great new year!
