Report an Absence Link to Chino Valley Campus

Welcome to TK~K!
If you received my welcome email, then you are already subscribed to my blog.
About me: I'm Mrs. Lizardi and this will be my 6th year teaching TK-1 at Sycamore Academy. I have a BA in Social Science with a concentration in Education, and a minor in Early Childhood Education. I obtained my teaching credential from CSUF, and I have attended many trainings as a self-proclaimed lifelong learner. I have lived in Murrieta for 15 years, I was born and raised in Anaheim, CA. My husband, Joey, and I have two kids. Brandon will be a freshman at MSJC this year and Emma will be a freshman at Murrieta Mesa High School. We have a spoiled and cuddly dog named Cassie, and Emma has two cats named Oliver and Cheeto. My hobbies are camping with my family, reading, and watching Angels baseball. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, I am excited and optimistic about the school year, whether I get to teach your child virtually or on-site!

Dear Families,

Sycamore has been approved to reopen on Monday, 9/28. The kindergarten team is planning to scale back on synchronous learning (Zoom), as an overwhelming majority of students will be onsite daily.  If your student is continuing on distance learning, join us for calendar on Zoom at 9am, (this is how we will monitor attendance). Following calendar, your student will complete the work for the day on Planbook at their pace. Please share pictures of completed work through your child’s SeeSaw journal, (this is how we will grade completed work). We will reach out to schedule Zoom times for assessments at different intervals.

Thank you,

The Kinder Team

TK/K Tutoring Access - Tues ELA, Thurs Math - 3:15
Zoom ID 476 613 5668
You can also access the SOS Library to watch videos of the tutoring sessions at your convenience, directions were emailed home from the school on 9/21. Thanks!
At Sycamore, we set SCORE goals in the fall. SCORE stands for "Sycamore children obtain real expectations." Teachers hold conferences with parents and students so that we can all have input on these goals. Three goals will be set: math, language arts, and personal growth. Please use this sign up to schedule your conference that will take place via Zoom. The Zoom ID and password will be emailed out the day before conferences. I will start conferences the afternoon of 9/30. There will be no school on Thursday 10/1 and Friday 10/2 for conferences. Thank you!

Hello Kindergarten families!

We have had a great start to the year so far. We wanted to say thank you for everyone’s patience as we are figuring out all of the logistics for this strange year. Although this year we do not have homework, there are a few things that we would like you to work with your child on at home.

Kindergarten Trimester 1 At-A-Glance

Hi parents! Please open the attachment to see an outline of what we will be learning in class during 1st trimester. In addition to these standards, students who are ready (determined by assessments) will be learning sight words, as well as reading at their level. Supports at home will include iXL and RAZ-Kids. We're looking forward to a successful first trimester!
