A Little About Me:

I live in Murrieta with my husband, Chris, and my daughter, Gianna. She just started Kindergarten at Sycamore. Education is my first passion. I enjoy teaching, learning, and baking! This is my fourth year at Sycamore Academy and I am so excited for this school year! I am also excited to teach Third Grade this year to all my returning students. Every year brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.

My Education:

I graduated from Cal State San Marcos in 2010 with a BA in Liberal Studies and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. In the continuous effort to keep my journey of being a lifelong learner going, I finished my Master’s Degree in Education from National University in August 2015. I enjoy being a student as much as I love being a teacher! There is always more to learn and room to grow.

Hello Families:
We will be having a small Holiday Celebration in class on December 19th. We start the festivities at 12:00pm. We will start with sugar cookie decorating and the enjoy a Holiday themed movie for the remainder of the day!
Sadly, I will not be here on the 19th, I am flying out the night before to spend some time with my family for the holidays. Mrs. Reed will be my trusted substitute that day. So all hands on deck, if you would like to come and help set up, manage, and clean up after the celebration, it would be so appreciated!!!!
I have included the sign up link below if you would like to donate goodies for the cookies and the decorations!
Thank you for everything!! Have a Happy and Safe Holiday!!
Here is the timeline for the Science Fair Projects. Much like the History Day projects we are breaking up each part of the project and sending it home weekly.
*IMPORTANT INFO, please read!*
Hello families!
Sycamore Academy's Science Showcase will be Thursday, February 21st! I know that February sounds far away, but it will creep up fast!  With this being said, all 3rd grade students will be required to create their own science fair project at home to present at Science Showcase.  In order to assist with this we are going to break the science fair project down into smaller chunks (just as we did for History Showcase) in order to make the project manageable.  Today a sheet titled "Choosing a category that interests you..." was sent home.  Please read the descriptions of the three different categories (life science, physical science, or earth & space science) and have your child choose one category for their science fair project. Then, have your child select an experiment that they would like to perform relating to that category, and write it down on the sheet provided. This sheet (titled "Choosing a category that interests you...") will be due next Tuesday, December 4thalong with their CAR assignment for this week! Please let me know if you have any questions!
The Current Event template, if you choose to use that option for the current event, was sent home today, along with an updated math fact practice sheet for facts 0-8 to be placed into your child's CAR folder.
Hello Families!
3rd grade is currently looking for volunteers to help run our ring-toss booth during Winter Fest!  Winter Fest will be Friday, December 7th from 3-7pm.  We are currently looking for volunteers that wish to help run the booth in 30 minute increments during Winter Fest.  This sign-up is open to all 3rd grade parents. It would certainly help us out so much!  Thank you again for your continued support. Please click on the link below if you would like to sign-up for a time!
Hello Families:

Large Wooden Crate
Candy Land Game

I know it seems odd, but I have seen these novelty candies near the check stands of Ross, Burlington Coat Factory, and TJ Maxx, or even Dollar Tree!
