Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! My name is Ms. Casi and I am the health technician here at Sycamore and I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I have 3 beautiful girls, one is a 4th grader at Sycamore and one just entered high school but was a student at Sycamore for 3 years. My oldest also works here as a mentor.
I have worked here for a year and a half, starting out as a substitute aid, then permanent aid and then promoted to this position as the health tech. I have experience in emergency medicine and currently hold the certificate of Emergency Medical Responder as well as CPR and First Aid. I am super excited to be here as I love all the kids and want nothing more then to help them when they are sick, hurt or just need a hug. I have an open door policy and love meeting the parents as well. When your child visits me in the office I always send home a green note that explains what I did while they were with me. I do not call home on everyone that comes in as I get busy but I will call if a student has been stung by a bee, has a head injury where there are signs/symptoms that cause concern and in the event of an emergency. I try to remind the students when they leave that it is important to show you the green slips so you know they were here.
My goal is to provide any information you may need from links to little reminders. I have a wish list that will help me provide the utmost care to your kids. I look forwarding to this new year with all my new and returning friends.
